My father past away the day after Christmas . Myself and my son's favorite person in the entire world . My 6 year olds hero . Unlike anything I've endured or the pain I've experiencing such a loss . I was given a recommendation by my father's favorite cousin sadly, his son passed within the same year Annette hands down was god sent for me. She has been nothing but compassionate and has communicated above and beyond even with the holidays , it's the comfort I needed to put what we can at ease . I can't speak higher regards about Annette ! For others who read this in loss of a loved one , I hope you come upon my review and this helps u . affordable compared to most . Empathy was shown all the ways possible . Thank u

Immediately after the passing of my stepfather, we needed to locate a cremation service. Subsequently, I called at least 5 different companies, including 2 that have name's associated with the sea (you can figure it out). I could not believe that during my initial calls, that only two of the businesses seemed compassionate and offered condolences for our loss. I know it seems silly, but what terrible business practice not to be compassionate during one of the most difficult times for a family. Well one of the only two businesses to offer not only compassion, but exemplified the meaning of compassion and professionalism was LA Cremation. I initially called on a Sunday morning. Within a few minutes, my call was returned and we were immediately greeted with their condolences and a complete rundown of their services. This was all delivered compassionately without feeling like a sales pitch. The representative then set up a telephone conference for the following morning with the counselor that would be working directly with us. The following morning, I received a call from Daisy, who was amazing. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, compassionate and extremely professional. Daisy provided incredible concierge service and assisted us in every step of the way. She consistently remained in contact with us throughout the entire process and provided up with updates. Lastly, the cost with LA Cremation was less than half of what was quoted to me by the cremation company that rhymes with "autotune." Overall, I cannot express how pleased we have been with LA Cremation and Daisy. Thank you Daisy for helping us though this difficult time.

I think that of all the reviews one must write, this has to be for the hardest of occasions. And yet, I have nothing but positive feedback to give. Very caring people, from the moment the process begins to the very end. The website is extremely helpful and walks you through the process and prices are very reasonable. I am very grateful to them for making a difficult life event follow a smooth and clear path.

I am very impressed with LA Creamation. No up-sell or pressure to buy anything. The price on their web site was the price I paid. Very professional and compassionate making me feel at easy. They took care of notifying Social Security and ordering the death certificates for us. The certificates were at the standard cost, no up-charge for doing the work. During this very hard time, I felt this place had my back! Thank you.

I started the end of life planning on line and called cremation Society of the Southbay after Dad passed at home on hospice. Very professional staff, no harsh-sleezy sales pitches- just up front dedicated staff who truly did a wonderful job taking care of our loved one. Highly recommended. I ended up here after my aunt passed away recently. The compassion and service provided was above par. Alex was very helpful and friendly. No up-sell, no aggressive tactics. They just offer a needed service at a third of the competitor's price. It's a group that you hope you never need but thankful they're there when you do.

Death is never easy..... That being said, The Cremation Society made it a lot less difficult. Alex is AMAZING at his job! My husband passed in early April and I didn't really know what I was doing. I contacted them because my husband wanted to be cremated. Alex was just a God send. He wasn't stuffy, arrogant or condescending and he did NOT push anything. I ran into a few glitches along the way and he was always available to assist. I would have completely lost my mind if I hadn't had such a wonderful and knowledgeable person helping me. He walked me through what needed to be done and decisions that needed to be made. The smallest request I made was very warmly accepted by him.... When my husband passed, his hair was a mess and I asked Alex if he would brush it because Drew NEVER went anywhere without his 20 minute hair primping. Alex handled that small request as though it was the most important thing that needed to be done. I asked several very weird questions that he answered quite elegantly and with no judgement. It feels very strange to write a review on this subject, but on the other side of the coin, people pass every day and I hope that those who have lost someone are as lucky as I was to find someone like Alex and his staff to help them. Thank you very much for making a difficult and painful experience much more comfortable and less heartbreaking. This staff really cares about the people that come in and are very caring, concerned, helpful and just wonderful in every single way. The light humor was refreshing and made it feel a bit less ackward. Alex is very easy to talk to and really caring and understanding, but most importantly he is very relatable. He has personality and in that instance it really helped. Thanks for everything and especially the Star Wars and Star Trek stuff..... Only he will understand that. Drew's new beautiful wood house has the Star Trek theme that we wanted and it was thanks to Alex's suggestions. For a morbid subject, this place and that staff is just phenominal!!!

No hard-sell tactics. No up-selling. Cremation services that cost what they should - about a third of what most funeral homes charge! (Because those funeral homes aren't doing it themselves and are marking it up.) In your time of grief, most places take advantage of you. The Cremation Society does the cremation themselves, handles all of the paperwork, and puts you at ease.

I just used them for a cremation. They have additional services at the same location. They do the cremation themselves at this location (they aren't jobbing it out to someone else). Nice people, efficient, pleasant, reasonable prices without any pressure tactics.

When my father died, Hospice referred us to the cremation society. Our initial contact was fine, not warm (they might be afraid to smile when dealing with people who've just experienced the death of someone close to them) but business-like and simple. There was no sales pressure or upsell. That was a great relief ! When we got the death certificates, we discovered a mistake, which normally can take up to two weeks to get corrected in Sacramento and then at the County of Los Angeles. I live out of state and flew in to get the death certificates and handle banking issues, so this was a big problem. That's really when I got to see into the quality of this group. John handled the situation with such integrity and compassion. He obtained the assistance of a co-worker in another branch, who was very warm, professional and easy to work with. They were able to pull strings to expedite the process. I was able to drive to downtown and get the amended death certificates in my hands in 48 hours. Mistakes happen when human beings are involved. How it gets handled -- that's where true character gets exposed. If the need arises, I would utilize the Cremation Society again without hesitation.

Thank you to LA cremation for their outstanding service that I've now used twice for my mom and my dad. I found the whole staff to be extremely compassionate, and professional. A special thanks to the gentlemen on both occasions who came to pick up my parents after their death.

Absolutely recommend. We decided to take matters into our own hands. We made an appointment met with Monica. We now have everything taken care of so our children can truly celebrate our lives and have fond memories to share instead of headaches and stress. They made it very easy and simple.

I thought I would never have to post about a family members death. To say the least this was very difficult for me as family means everything to me. I granted my father's wishes as to cremated. Spoke with three reps and they were all pleasant. I was put at ease when speaking to one particular woman ( I will be back to post later with her correct name) Talk about a laughable moment , which I so desperately needed. I was set up with Diana Lara who was so helpful,informative and answered all our needs , she was also very patient with us seeing as though five siblings had to be present and came in at different times we appreciate you. Thank you so much for assisting us in this difficult time and making it a smooth transition. I'm back and yes the wonderful woman's name is JESSICA!!!!!!!

This is the saddest review you could possibly write. So here goes: My Mom passed away, aged 86, just two months shy of her 87th birthday back in March of this year. Not an easy time to say the least, let alone make funeral arrangements. From the horror stories I've heard about other places, I was expecting a used car sales type of environment where they try to up-sell you. This said, I'm glad we were referred to Ms. Diana Lara. She was very kind, gentle and compassionate. Plus we loved the grounds and the cute little chapel. Thank You Ms. Lara for your kindness and understanding during this very difficult time.

Extremely compassionate and respectful. Prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for those wanting basic cremation services. The gentleman that helped us with my brother in laws cremation was an angel.

Excellent service by Alex. He made us feel so comfortable with arranging the cremation for my father. It was a difficult appointment to go to, but we left it feeling at peace and actually relieved with how the process for the remains are being handled. Thank you for the service.

I highly recommend this organization. I called them in Feb. when my mom was very ill. I was quoted an "after death" price. When she died in April, I was told the same price. They were very warm and straightforward, and at no point was I subjected to a hard sell. I dealt with Juan Vasquez and Alex Flores. They were both very professional and nice.

They are nice efficent and friendly, I worked with Natasha and Alex who were both great, they explained everything in detail and layed out all the options to us. The creamation was a great price the lowest our family could find, they also offer alot of other added services such as urns memorial services and referrals. Alex was super patient as my mother was just beside herself over my grandfather's death . She was in a very emotional state. Everyone was nice and efficent. I thank them for their services and patience in dealing with these sensetive situations.

Death is a tough thing to deal with. I can't imagine doing what these people do 24/7. I contacted a many places to inquire about pricing and this place gave me the best quote. Emails/calls were promptly return... Hopefully, I don't have to use their services anytime soon but if I did... I will do business again at this establishment.

I had a wonderful and knowledgeable person helping me at LA Cremation. He walked me through what needed to be done and the decisions that needed to be made. Thank you very much for making a difficult and painful experience much more comfortable and less heartbreaking.
